The LEAF is the latest product from Bellabeat, a company that’s created an entire collection of health trackers and smart devices targeted at women (particularly mothers and those on the track to motherhood). Similar to other health trackers and wearables currently on the market, the LEAF and the LEAF app work together to give women data on their personal health. More specifically, the LEAF monitors a women’s menstrual cycle by tracking expected days and providing other information based on a woman’s activity, sleep, and stress levels. Bellabeat’s LEAF can be work as a necklace, bracelet, or clip, and is made out of American ash wood with a hypoallergenic stainless steel clip. It comes with a 6-month battery life and a replaceable battery is available for $119 (for the standard edition) or $250 (for the black edition). Bellabeat graduated from Y Combinator back in March of 2014. The company has raised funding from several investors including SV Angel, Universal, Crunchfund, Cherubic VC, Promus Ventures, Nicolas Berggruen, Justin Kan, Michael Seibel, Paul Buchheit, Tom Fallows, and Adrian Aoun.
