The annual trade show has only been underway for a single day, and we’ve already been treated to some wild advancements in TV tech. From rollable devices that vanish from sight to mammoth, customizable displays that wouldn’t fit on a single wall in your house, attendees have enjoyed incredible innovations nearly every hour. Check out some of the best of the best below, including: Luckily, they do, thanks to the a9 Gen 2 processor. The LG 8K OLED Z9 in particular will need this added processing power, with its 88-inch screen size. The LG 8K OLED Z9 also supports Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can add this high-tech TV to your smart home lineup, and it’s also compatible with the latest HDMI standard. As for price and availability, LG hasn’t announced exactly when this beautiful TV will be out for purchase or how much it will cost. However, you can bet the answer to those questions will be “soon” and “expensive.” The South Korean company announced the Signature OLED TV R, in which R naturally stands for rollable. The innovative TV is housed in a stand that is noticeably smaller than the screen that comes out of it. The TV R even comes with a standby mode, in which the TV will come halfway out of the stand and display weather, photos, and the time. Like most TVs at CES 2019 so far, no price or availability has been announced, but you aren’t going to be pinching pennies if you’re interested in this model. 8k TVs have been making their debut across the board this year and Samsung continued this trend as they unveiled their competitive Q900 8K QLED TV. The impressive television, which can be as large as 98 inches, not only houses some of the crispest resolution on the market, but also uses artificial intelligence to improve any non-8K content to match the TV. This is an important feature, as we’re a long way off 8K becoming the norm. You can also access iTunes, a first for non-Apple devices. Samsung hasn’t released the pricing and availability, but keep an eye out for upcoming announcements. Not because you can afford it; we imagine it’ll be so incredibly expensive, you’ll enjoy marvelling at it. The MicroLED 4K TV doesn’t just allow for larger screens either; the incredibly technology allows for some of the brightest colors and deepest blacks in the television realm. It also allows for screens to be incredibly thin and bezel-less, making for a notably sought-after aesthetic. Still no word on what you’ll have to pay for one of these MicroLED 4K TVs or when they’ll be available, as the new technology is difficult to produce. But don’t break open the piggy bank just yet: They might be a bit out of your price range, with estimates exceeding $100,000. The Master Z9G also comes with four built-in speakers on the top and bottom, improving the typically terrible sound from modern televisions. You’ll also enjoy Google Assistant compatibility and support for the AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. Unfortunately, like many others on this list, we’re not sure how much this TV is going to cost or when it releases. But rest assured you’ll be disappointed before you know it. The TV itself is nothing to write home about as far as specs and concerned, particularly considering the competition throughout the rest of this list. However, what is unique for this product is the stand that comes with it, allowing users to push the A9G very close up to the wall. It might not be 8K, but that’s certainly an improvement on some of the models above. Again, we’ve no information about price or availability, but trust us, these companies will itching to get that information out as soon as possible. Sound bars have become a necessary purchase due to the poor sound quality of increasingly thin televisions, so Panasonic is trying to right the ship with a TV that looks and sounds good too. Plus, with Alexa and Google Assistant support, you’ll be able to improve your smart home setup some more. It’s still anyone’s guess at how expensive this audio-focused TV might cost, but for a TV that doesn’t need a sound bar, you can be sure it’s going to hit your wallet where it hurts.
