One of these new video apps is called QuiQ. The app launched in the first week of May and is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and optimized for iPhone 5. QuiQ allows users to create short 30 seconds videos with the option of using a timelapse mode to generate innovative content. This app was developed by Make Sense LLC, a new mobile app development company based in New York, USA. After playing around with the QuiQ app for a bit, I determined that they still have a ways to go before all of the kinks are worked out. For example, I did a quick test video, and once you stop recording, it appears to automatically upload to their video feed. I could not find an option for deleting it if I didn’t want it posted. Also, under settings, I saw a “Followers” list, but it is unclear how exactly one follows another user, or gets followers is unclear. It looks like they focused on simplicity, but it’s too simple and not at all intuitive. They definitely have their work cut out for them in the user experience department.
