Brano Perkovich is the chief investment officer for the storied NFL team and a managing partner at Aurum Partners LLC, the family office fund affiliated with the owners of the San Francisco 49ers. In this role, Perkovich primarily focuses on early stage and growth equity investment opportunities in sports, technology, and strategically adjacent consumer markets. This allows portfolio companies to leverage the 49ers’ access and network to help drive product adoption and accelerate growth. And if there’s one thing that can help a startup grow, it’s support from an NFL team.
Perkovich, however, wasn’t always involved with the NFL. Prior to Aurum, he worked as a technology investment banker in Menlo Park, where he dealt with a vast array of financial and strategic transactions for technology clients well respected in the tech community. Originally from Bosnia, Perkovich has come a long way in his journey through the business world. Starting out in Chicago gave him his first foray into the world of Fortune 500 companies, working on corporate strategy and business development for an impressive lineup of businesses that even those living under rocks would recognize.
