The service will be available first for select riders and Uber Business users, but they plan to open it up to all customers in NYC in the coming weeks. Guests will pay for any charges with their default payment option that exceed the value of the guest pass that you’ve purchased.You’re only charged for rides that are used. After your event ends, you’ll receive a refund for any unused guest passes and for any amount not used on a specific guest pass.When your guest pass is active, it will automatically apply to your next ride.
Uber may not have yet figured out how to bring the party to you (don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll launch that service within the next year), but for now they can at least bring you to the party. The big question is whether they will deliver food to your party too.
