With a step-by-step approach, Wevorce helps couples divorce amicably using web-based technology to automate the paperwork, along with a community of trained attorney mediators to help untangle the complex issues and mitigate the mental anguish and financial burden of divorce, all at a fraction of the costs of a traditional divorce. The Y Combinator-backed startup hopes to change the $30 billion market for divorce services in the country, and they announced they’re expansion to Miami. Florida is amongst U.S states with the highest divorce rates in the country. Wevorce has saved its clients over $2 million in legal fees in 2014 alone. Through the divorce archetypes it has developed, Wevorce can predict the costs and steps families need to take to settle their divorce with 97% accuracy, and it costs one-third of a typical divorce (the national avg. is $27,000). More than 300 families have been through the Wevorce process to date, and in 2014, Wevorce kept 100% of its families out of court.
